Located right next to the AdventHealth Lake Mary ER on Rinehart Road, the three-story, 58,000-square-foot health park will provide services such as gastroenterology, colorectal, electrophysiology and general surgery. Furthermore, the health park will offer lab services, sleep studies, diagnostic medical imaging, sports medicine and rehab, outpatient surgery, and much more. The outpatient surgery center will be located on the third floor where locals will have access to screenings, biopsies and surgical intervention.
“AdventHealth is not just a hospital ― we’re a comprehensive and connected health care network that is dedicated to caring for you, right here close to home,” said Tim Cook, CEO for AdventHealth Altamonte Springs and the Seminole County Market. “We are excited to be adding a range of services to keep the residents of Lake Mary and Seminole County feeling healthy and feeling whole.”
Patients will be able to go online to schedule appointments, complete registration and talk to their providers before they walk through the doors of the new facility. Upon arrival, an engagement specialist will greet patients by name and offer a personalized experience that is tailored to their needs.
“This health park increases the opportunity for residents to receive convenient specialty care. And it is important that we begin paving the way for these services to meet the needs of this developing community,” said Jake McKelvy, vice president of retail services at AdventHealth. “With a focus on convenience and technology, our new health park will offer an experience that’s built for the modern world.”
AdventHealth has provided the Lake Mary community with a variety of health care services over the years, including primary care and women’s services. The hospital system has also cared for the community’s emergency-care needs since the opening of the AdventHealth Lake Mary ER in 2016. Additionally, AdventHealth recently began to provide a convenient location for outpatient procedures through the AdventHealth Surgery Center Lake Mary. The inclusion of the health park will only further the health care network’s dedication to providing comprehensive care to the area.
“Lake Mary enjoys a wonderful, national reputation for our quality of life, and we pride ourselves on innovation, technology and wellness. This new facility embraces all of those tenets,” said Lake Mary Mayor David Mealor. “AdventHealth has had a remarkable presence in Lake Mary, but today we are doing a groundbreaking for a facility that is going to provide an array of services far beyond what is currently available, which adds to our quality of life and we are very thankful."
AdventHealth opened its first health park, in Osceola County, in October 2019. Another health park in Clermont will open in early 2022. The Lake Mary health park is expected to open in early 2023.
