Carlos Velazquez III, LCSW, has opened a solo practice at Lake Nona and is now accepting patients.
"I have practiced therapy for the past 12 years. I have worked in the social work field for the past 30 years, and enjoy helping others reach their full potential in life. I believe in positive and solution focus therapy with the goal of helping clients find compassion for themselves and to overcome whatever challenges they may be facing. Being bi-lingual in both English and Spanish allows me to communicate with a broader base of clients I can help," said Velazquez.

The field of mental health has traditionally aimed to “change what’s not right." I believe in “building what is right." We all have internal strengths that can be built up to boost our resolve, increase optimism, and enjoy life to its fullest.
My aim is to help my clients realize that they do not need to change, only their current state or belief from “what’s wrong to what’s right." By using positive psychology and Solution Focus approaches, I help clients to change course and move toward achieving behavioral paths that lead to achieving goals and becoming a better you.
