These 34 beds will create a new, dedicated cardiac unit which will include a 10-bed CVICU, 8-bed CV step-down, and 16-bed cardiac procedural. This unit is scheduled to open in December 2020.

These expansions, along with the addition of a freestanding emergency department in Summerfield in October 2016, exemplify Ocala Health's commitment to adding new services and more access points for residents and visitors of Marion County.
